My shower gel collection

by Annabella on March 29, 2011 · 21 comments

I love the ‘what’s in my shower’ posts that everyone does and I thought it was high time I did one. This picture only contains my shower gels, I have another rack on the side that contains my other stuff. I currently have a total of 30, which might seem excessive but compared to some collections of nail varnish (you know who you are) this seems like nothing. I could quite happily have 200 shower gels but they don’t tuck away into nice little boxes. So what’s in my shower tower?

  • 8 Molton Brown – I never review MB shower gels as there is no point, they are my HG of bathing.
  • 5 Korres – I love the different scents Korres do like Cedar and Fig.
  • 4 N-Spa – My best mate Lauren gave me these, the flavours are similar to Philosophy.
  • 3 Bath & Body Works – I’ve got the Island Getaway collection and I love it, review coming soon.
  • 3 Crabtree & Evelyn – Got two of these the other day (there was a voucher in the Evening Post honest)
  • 3 Boots Extracts – I reviewed these last week and I was pleasantly surprised.
  • 1 Lush – Yes only one at the moment, this is a re-buy of Grass.
  • 1 Origins – Still need to review this one too!
  • 1 Lucky Tiger – Not sure if I like this, it’s been with me awhile.
  • 1 Anatomicals – Mentioned this last week, not bad for the price.

Phew – I guess I do have a lot but keep in mind that James also uses nearly everything except for the girly scents. I expect him to use my stuff, he knows if he brings home Lynx etc. it will be grounds for divorce before we are even married!

So guys and gals – what lovely bubblies are in your bathroom?

Haha great collection! I thought I was bad having two shower gels on the go ;)

Kizzy March 29, 2011 at 2:00 am

Wow! That’s a lot! I only have two at the moment, both from The Body Shop. I try to keep that ‘in control’ (but I fail immensely when it comes to makeup!).

@Jade @Kizzy – Everyone has their Achilles Heel and mine is bath and body stuff. At least I’m always clean!!
Thanks for the comments ladies x

Suzanne March 29, 2011 at 7:14 am

oh lordy. I have a one shower gel in shower at one time rule because otherwise the paralysing indecision makes my showers go over into the 20 min bracket…

Pinkty March 29, 2011 at 7:17 am

Waouh nice collection ! I quite like shower gels too, I could buy so many but as you say it is not as easy to store as nail polishes (I have too many of them !).
I have never tried the Molton Brown shower gels but I’ve always wanted to. I have some Korres, they are very nice and the smells are lovely. I quite like Lush and a french brand “le petit marseillais”.
Funny to “blame” your boyfriend to use them too :-) I sometimes blame mine for using my lush shower gels LOL

Miss A March 29, 2011 at 8:31 am

I’m not quite as bad as you :P , but there’s about 15 shower gels in my bathroom (and that’s excluding body scrubs.. Another 15 if them). I have TBS’s ones, Lush ones, S&G, Philosophy, N-Spa… I’m running out of space now so think we (boyfriend & I) will have to use them up.
And I’m the same as you when it comes to Lynx etc. I’ve banned Lynx! He’s using S&G’s and Ted Baker’s body sprays atm.

Wow that is a lot of shower gels lol. It must be amazing to have the choice everyday though, i must admit i get a bit bored of the same fragrance nomatter how gorgeous it is after a few times.

Oh and i love your racks ( that sounds very wrong :)

Debbie March 29, 2011 at 10:02 am

You must have a bloody huge shower to accommodate that lot, plus the other rack and still have room to get in and out! Nice selection, I am seriously not into fruity smelling bathing products and not always overly thrilled with how Molton Brown stuff smells (with the exception of Heavenly Gingerlily which I love!) I might have to seek out the Korres ones as they sound much more my kind of thing, am weirdly drawn to anything that claims to smell of fig and have absolutely no idea why! I like indulgent, oriental, spicy sorts of smells that really linger on the skin – any recommendations?! x

Oh my mother-fudging-god! You are my hero Annabella!!!!!! And I’m still laughing hysterically at Nicoletta and the “oh and I love your racks!”, yeah Nicoletta, me too!

I’m going to have to take a look in my bathroom and see if there is anything near as exciting to post about!?!?? x

Gloss Boudoir March 29, 2011 at 2:43 pm

I am so jealous! I would love to show my collection like that. Great post

Courtney Clarke March 29, 2011 at 3:48 pm

What a wonderful collection! I may have a look at my collection later and see if there’s anything worth posting.

LemonyEmily March 29, 2011 at 4:28 pm

LOVE to see the LUSH on there – i work there and their products are to diiie for!! i also cant get enough of molten brown the scents they use are just heavenly!
Lots of love from a new follower and fellow nottingham-er

Sultry Red March 29, 2011 at 5:29 pm

Wow and I thought I had a lot of bath stuff… I really don’t lol

Annabella March 29, 2011 at 7:32 pm

@ Suzanne – I usually know what I’m going to use when I wake up because I think about so much. That makes me really sad doesn’t it?
@Pinkty – I don’t have any French shower gels in my collection *scratches chin in deep thought*
@Miss A – I will tell James I’m not the only one who needs a lot of choice. I love the idea of Philosophy but the scent doesn’t last and that really narks me off! What about you?
@Nicoletta – You’ve definitely done the best comment of day. They are utility racks probably not meant for the shower but they keep everything in one place.
@Debbie – You will love Korres then, they do a lot of unusual scents like Juniper & Rum which another one of my favourites. Korres is my go to when I don’t have Molton Brown. And no my bathroom is small as anything!
@Leanne – Do you think I might have a problem???? Is there a shower gel addicts annonymous?
@Gloss Boudior – Thank you very much, I bet your bathroom is better than mine tho!
@Courtney – I would love to see what stuff you have in your shower so please do a post!
@LemonyEmily – Ayup me duck! You work at Lush? Do they pay you in products?
@Sultry Red – I bet you have more makeup and nail varnish than me so that makes us even!

OMG Thanks for all your comments – I love it when my girlies stop by xoxo

Fee March 29, 2011 at 7:47 pm

arghhh what are you doing to me! This makes me so jealous haha as avoiding SLS in all shower products is so hard and really limits me to only using afew different things.

However the showers products I do use are lovely and don’t create them little bumps on the backs of my arms that I use to get then using normal shower gels.
At the moment my favourite is a baby shower gel haha oh dear and a lovely rice scrub from Naked which I will have to send you a tube of when I send you your parcel. :)

You do have a wonderful collection of shower gels!

Fee x

Annabella March 29, 2011 at 9:31 pm

@Fee – have you tried Korres shower gels? I think they are SLS and Paraben free. Aww can’t wait to get my parcel will make my work day much more exciting! ;)

Sarah April 2, 2011 at 9:27 pm

What a lovely shower gel collection! :)

I just have two for the moment which is a giant bottle of Snow Fairy from Lush and a bottle of Raspberry Ripple shower gel from Body Shop (which smells SOOOO good!)

Have you tried any of the Pink Cow shower gels in Boots? They are LOVELY! Strawberry Sundae is my favourite :)

Tamara April 2, 2011 at 10:50 pm

All those bottles look so pretty! :]

I just have one in the shower at the moment, as I’m currently adoring Midnight Pomegranate by B&BW.

Annabella April 2, 2011 at 11:26 pm

Hey Tamara – If I could have more B&BW stuff I would but lord knows where I would put it – my bathroom is teeny tiny.

Thanks for stopping by x

Annabella April 2, 2011 at 11:29 pm

@Sarah – I haven’t tried the Pink Cow stuff but I have seen it at Boots. Is it a less expensive version of Philosophy?
