Annabella’s review – Salcura Antiac Deep Cleansing Liquid + 50% off voucher

A lovely little email appeared in my in my inbox several weeks ago asking me if I wanted to trial Salcura Antiac as it would be the answer to all my spotty prayers. I’ve never heard of Antiac before but I was intrigued that the treatment was in spray form rather than a topical cream. This is a Vegan friendly product that contains: tea tree, sea buckthorn, sandalwood, manuka and several other ingredients only found in nature. I’ve not had too many skin issues this summer due to the colder weather, so trialling this was a bit of challenge.

I started using it straight away as a toner which I absolutely love; the scent is a strong tea tree one and I would definitely buy it again just for that. What I will say it has kept my skin clear although like I said above, I don’t know if it’s because I’ve not been as greasy as I normally am.

What I found this the most useful for is cleaning out piercings. I’ve got several holes in my ears from my grunge phase in the 90′s, and spraying this around my ears after I’ve taken all my piercings out is really refreshing. Even though I’ve had my piercings a long time, they do flare up on occasion with new earrings so this helps with redness and general ickyness. If you are festival goer you need Antiac in your kit if you want to keep your piercings clean, even if the rest of you stays muddy!

I’ve also used it on James for research purposes as he gets small breakouts on his back (like a lot of men do). I’ve been spraying Antiac on his back every morning after his shower and it cleared up the spots he had and it has prevented him from getting new ones. James loves the fresh, slightly medicinal scent and likes the fact is dries quickly too so he doesn’t have to wait around to get dressed. ‘Bacne’ can be difficult to treat, so if the man in your life is concious about going on holiday with a spotty back I highly recommend this.

I would also love to stand in the middle of the square in Nottingham and spray this on all the men who walk around without a shirt or just spray it in my eyes so I don’t have to look at them…kidding!

To get your 50% off voucher go to to Salcura ‘Guide to Glamping‘. This is a free download containing helpful skincare advice from Salcura founder Dr. Martin Schiele on how to stay spotless at festivals, beauty tips from celebrity make-up artist Tania Courtney and festival dos/don’ts from Channel 4’s Billie JD Porter. Everyone who downloads and reads it will get a 50% off code for Antiac!

Great post, as always!

You should give it a go Lola, it takes a few weeks to work but hopefully you’ll see a difference! xoxo

This sounds great. I don’t break out on my face too much these days but when we do have warmer weather I suffer with breakouts on my chest and back and a cream can be too difficult to apply sometimes.
Great review. x

This is great for getting into those nooks and crannies where creams won’t go! :D

i’ve been interested in trying this for a while – always on the hunt for a miracle for me acne-prone skin. this means i’m going for it the next time a shop at feelunique!

That’s great that Feelunique delivers to Iceland. I’m hoping they will start selling it at Boots or Superdrug here too! xoxo

This looks interesting, i have used a spray on treatment before and found it very good, wondering if this is similar. I still get breakouts so will consider trying this x

Well it my skin clear the last few months, I always get a spot family on my chin and they’ve have stayed away. I like this because it’s a bit different and you can spray it all over your face rather than it be just a spot-specific treatment. :D
