Columbia Aircraft

Columbia Aircraft

Columbia aircraft have a well-deserved reputation for being the top performers in their class. The sleek and efficient airframe design helps Columbia coax greater speed, longer range and better fuel economy out of the same power plants used by competitors.

Utility Category certified (the highest non-aerobatic FAA certification), Columbia aircraft boast the highest wing loading in their class to ensure the smoothest ride possible and provide the quietest vip flights and most comfortable cabin environment available. Climate Control, General Aviation's first automotive-style "set and forget" advanced environmental system, maintains the perfect cabin temperature from start up to shut down, sea level to FL250.

Additionally, the base level of standard equipment Columbia provides makes both the 350 and 400 the best value on the market for countless reasons. Finally, the high-quality materials, fit & finish, warranty and attention to detail make Columbia the premium aircraft in the marketplace – the standard by which all others must be judged.

Compare aircraft in the same class (similar performance characteristics) that are comparably equipped (same options installed) and discover for yourself what the experts already know.

Columbia aircraft are not entry level – they represent the ultimate in piston-powered premium personal transportation (Columbia doesn't even offer a trainer). Columbia only offers leather interiors and your choice of custom finish sealed with clear top coat – you won't find fabric seats and vinyl graphics here. The attention to detail can be found in elegant touches that the mass aircraft producers overlook - inflatable door seals, lighted steps, black walnut trim, custom paint and more. Columbia's exclusivity appeals to a discerning clientele accustomed to owning the sublime and not the mundane. Columbia are recognized by their exquisite ramp appeal and sleek, sexy silhouette. Just as you won't find five Aston Martins in the mall parking lot – you won't find five Columbia's on your local ramp. Exclusive? – Absolutely. Envied? – Probably so. Is it for you? – You already know the answer.

Columbia 350
The 310 horsepower, normally-aspirated Columbia 350, combines the performance and mission flexibility that seasoned aviators demand and competitors envy. With a cruise speed of 190 knots and a useable fuel capacity of 98 gallons, the 350 can reach 25% more destinations without making a fuel stop than its closest competitor. And just because it can carry 98 gallons doesn't mean that it has to – it simply provides a greater level of mission flexibility. Range or Payload - you decide how much of each is needed for the mission. Cargo aircraft charter based in Canada.

The Columbia 350 base level avionics suite represents what is a significant upgrade from other aircraft on the market – but then again, Columbia 350 sets a high standard that others cannot match.

Columbia 400
Twin-turbo chargers and dual intercoolers are the hallmarks of the renown Columbia 400 that will take you beyond the limits of mere normalized turbos. The 400 will literally take you higher, faster and farther than anything else in it's class. Certified to FL250, with an unrefueled range of 1,300 nm and cruise speed of 235 knots – Columbia 400 performance is legendary. In fact, the Columbia 400 holds the title of World's Fastest Certified Piston Single Aircraft. Fixed gear or retractable – nothing can touch it.

The 400 is revered by high-time pilots who have paid their dues by logging time (read "trudging around") in lesser aircraft. With legendary performance and long legs, the Columbia 400 may not be your first aircraft – but it probably will be your last. Carpe Speedem!

350/400 (Avidyne Entegra Configuration)
The intuitive Avidyne Entegra is the heart of the standard glass cockpit avionics suite. The 10.4" Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MFD) are configured in the portrait (vertical) format exclusively on Columbia aircraft. Also standard in the Columbia 350/400 are many top-of-the-line avionics and options that other manufacturers will charge extra for in their base models including:
•Dual Garmin GNS 430 IFR NAV/COMM /GPS with glide slope
•S-Tec 55X rate-based coupled auto-pilot
•GMS340 audio panel
•GTX327 Mode C transponder
•E-Prox™ terrain awareness

350i/400i (Garmin G1000 Configuration)
The "i" model Columbia provides an unmatched level of chartering a private jet cockpit integration. Although "integration" has become a buzz word in aviation of late – try this easy exercise to gauge the level of integration in any cockpit. Simply count the number of items in the radio rack and compare that to the Columbia "i" model panel. You'll quickly realize that if you have two stand-alone GPS, an audio panel, transponder, separate auto-pilot and more, the cockpit is not as "integrated" as it could be. The "i" model Columbia offers a "fully-integrated flight deck", of that there is no doubt. Plus Columbia offers the only Flight Management System complete with alpha-numeric Remote Access Data Entry (READY Pad™). Look for other manufacturers to follow our lead on this wave of the future. The 10.4" G1000 PFD and MFD mounted in landscape (horizontal) orientation include the following standard equipment:
• Garmin G1000 IFR NAV/COMM/GPS with glide slope

• GFC700 attitude-based coupled auto-pilot with control wheel steering and group charter flight level change

• Integrated GMS340 audio panel

• Integrated GTX330 Mode S transponder with Traffic Information (TIS)

• E-Prox™ terrain awareness

• SatWX™ satellite weather datalink

• SatRadio™ 130 channel satellite entertainment

350SL/400SL (Regional Model)
SL models are an aviator's dream come true, if the aviator is a "gadget person" – but aren't we all? Columbia builds these premium aircraft with the best of the optional equipment available. *Every avionics option available is already installed including the G1000 with READY Pad™, upgraded seats, speed brakes, oxygen, the works. Loaded with more options than we can list, the SL is available in two regional configurations broadly designed for two extreme climates – hot or cold.
•SL with Climate Control™ (loaded with *every option available at the time, except E-Vade)
•SL with E-Vade™ (loaded with *every option available at the time, except Climate Control)

Even if you decide that in the future you want to upgrade your SL to an SLX, both Climate Control and E-Vade can be added at any time at a select CARMA (Columbia Authorized Repair & Maintenance Associate)

350SLX/400SLX (Fully-Loaded Model)
It has been said that aviation is full of compromise. Not anymore. Columbia's flagship is the fully-loaded SLX. Available in the 350 and 400 airframe, the fully-loaded SLX is equipped with *every factory option. When this aircraft is built, there is nothing left on the shelf. The only decision to make is your choice of stunning paint colors. You didn't get to where you are in life by running with the pack or standing on the sidelines – you've worked hard, didn't settle and didn't take "no" for an answer. Why stop now at anything short of the ultimate – don't compromise.

*New options are always being certified and added to the SL/SLX package. SL/SLX package price and equipment list is based on certified options available for installation as of the date noted on the Firm Fixed Order (FFO) executed by Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing (CAM). The package, all equipment, options and pricing is subject to change without notice at the discretion of CAM and any supplier/vendor providing equipment to CAM.
